John Cary was a special education instructor for 12 years and has, to date, served as a school administrator for 22 years, including seven years as superintendent of the Mehlville School District and five years as superintendent of the St. Louis County Special School District where he continues to serve. He also served as vice president at Banc of America Securities for five years. He recently completed a term as president of the St. Louis Voluntary Inter-district Choice Corporation.
Cary received his Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts and Educational Specialist degrees from Northeast Missouri State University. He is married to Carol Cary and is the father of two children.
